Configuration Manager doesn't work for Tabular

Visual Studio's configuration manager is a beautiful thing to have. You set up your connection strings to dev,  test and production (if applicable for a developer) and you can deploy easily to these environments. If you are not aware of this, try it out, it's a great feature.

However....it doesn't work for tabular mode SSAS. And that's a shame really. It would not have been so bad if it warned you about it, or grayed out the possibility to even set up configuration manager. No: it allows you to think it works, but then it doesn't. Which means you might accidentally deploy to the wrong server. Oops.
